2. Scope
This privacy policy informs you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data within our online offering (website) as well as our mobile and desktop applications (apps).
Part A: Data processing on the website
Hosting and server logs
Our website is hosted by Hostinger. Each time the website is accessed, the system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing device. The following data is collected:
- Information about the browser type and version used
- The user’s operating system
- The user’s internet service provider
- The user’s IP address
- Date and time of access
- Websites from which the user’s system reaches our website (referrer URL)
Contact form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provide there (such as name and email address), will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions.
Newsletter
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you consent to receiving the newsletter. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information.
Embedded content
Our website may include content from third parties (e.g. YouTube videos, social media feeds). When accessing this content, the user’s IP address is regularly transmitted to the third-party provider, as the content could not be sent to the user’s browser without it.
Part B: Data processing in our apps
Categories of processed data
When using our apps (such as "Midnight Mansion"), the following data categories may be processed depending on the feature:
- Usage data: Game progress, in-app settings, achievements, crash reports.
- Device data: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers (device ID).
Third-party services
To provide certain features, analyse app crashes or display advertising, SDKs (software development kits) from third-party providers may be integrated into our apps. Before data is transmitted we obtain your explicit consent where legally required (e.g. via a consent banner on first launch of the app).
In-app purchases
If you purchase paid content in our apps, payment is processed via the respective app store (e.g. Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Steam). We do not process any payment data ourselves (such as credit card numbers); we only receive status notifications about the successful purchase from the store operator in order to unlock the content for you.
Part C: General information
Legal bases for processing
We only process personal data where there is a legal basis for doing so. The most important legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are:
| Purpose of processing | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Consent-based services (e.g. newsletter, optional analytics cookies) | Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent) |
| Performance of a contract (e.g. providing app content, handling purchase requests) | Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract) |
| Legal requirements (e.g. tax retention obligations) | Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (legal obligation) |
| Securing IT operations, fraud prevention, general inquiries | Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest) |
Data transfers to third countries
Insofar as we process data in a third country (i.e. outside the European Union or the European Economic Area) or this occurs in the context of using third-party services, this only takes place if the special requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR are met (e.g. an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).
Retention period
The data we process is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its purpose and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
Protection of children
Our offerings are not explicitly aimed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental consent. Should we discover that we have collected data from children without such consent, we will delete it immediately.
Data security
We use technical and organisational security measures (e.g. SSL/TLS encryption for the website) to protect the data we manage against manipulation, loss, destruction and access by unauthorised persons.
Your rights (data subject rights)
Under the GDPR you have extensive rights regarding your data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
To exercise your rights you can contact us at any time at info@tiroda.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or in order to reflect changes to our services (e.g. when introducing new features). The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
